Our Practice

For the past 20 years, Elder Care has focused on keeping Kalihi seniors in their homes by providing medical, dental, and mental health care, socialization, and other types of support from in-home respite care to hot meals, caregiver programs, and transportation. The program has two primary goals:

1) To reduce falls and health emergencies for seniors and caregivers in Kalihi; and

2) To help seniors gain confidence to live at home and in community.

The Health Maintenance program lies at the core of Elder Care services. The free Health Maintenance program provides general and ongoing health benefits and is designed to help seniors maintain the highest level of physical and mental health functioning possible to enjoy a good quality of life. Activities include physical exercise, health education, and regular health screenings.
