KKV Annual Retreat

After a two year pandemic hiatus, KKV held its in-person Annual Retreat at Bishop Museum on Friday, October 28, 2022. KKV Staff from all departments were in attendance for the momentous occasion that also celebrated KKVʻs 50 years of service to the community.

The Future of Kalihi

The pressures of development and change are coming to Kalihi. How will these changes impact the community? In what ways will they affect our health and connections? These are some of the questions KKV has begun to ask and try to answer through a hui of staff we are calling “Kalihi Futures”.

Getting Onboard

Pathways functions for many staff as a kind of onboarding program. Each three-month training program engages cohorts of fifteen to twenty people from across KKV. It is an opportunity for staff to learn about everything that makes up KKV.

Shaping Cultural Identity Through Story

For many Pacific Island cultures, storytelling has long been the medium for preserving cultural tradition and meaning. From creation to navigation tales, the oral tradition helps to shape cultural identity.

ʻĀina Warrior: Dolly Tatofi

KKV is pleased to welcome Dolly Tatofi, our new Maternal Child Health Director who oversees Women's Health, Family Planning, Pediatric Care, WIC & Nutrition, and Family Strengthening Services.

Medical Retreat

The Medical Team held their Annual Departmental Retreat on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Hoʻoulu ʻĀina. Comprised of staff from Medical, Behavioral Health, Optometry and Pharmacy, the retreat played host to a relaxing late afternoon filled with activities to help the Medical Team connect and refocus.

Come work for Kōkua Kalihi Valley! We have a variety of positions available here. Below are two positions that we are currently seeking applicants for.

PROJECT COORDINATOR I (FACILITIES CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION)

Coordinates the construction and renovation of KKV’s facilities require careful coordination with KKV management, staff, multiple program leads, designers, accountants, and architects. The goal is to create a more functional, welcoming, community-appropriate, and culturally-responsive space for patients, staff, and multiple programs. Apply here.

PROGRAM ASSISTANT (TENNIS)

Leads in technical needs and assists with planning and implementation of the Tennis Program. Help students with schoolwork. Gathers necessary data for grant documents and support all activities of the Tennis program. Must know how to play tennis. Click here to apply.
