On Friday, October 30, KKV held its annual staff retreat starting with virtual team meetings and then encouraging staff to spend the day doing something that is meaningful to each of us as a way to refresh and replenish after months of hard work. Abundant Cultural Foods - CSʻAi Boxes

KKV’s Roots food program has played a major role in our efforts to respond to Covid19 in the community. Roots not only grows organic produce through the Mahi ‘Āina program at Ho’oulu ‘Āina, but the Food Hub sources locally-grown produce, cultural foods, and other items from its farm partners on O‘ahu to use in meal preparation for seniors, and the preparation of bags of fresh produce distributed through Hui Hoaka, our emergency Covid response program. Keeping Our Youth Safe and Engaged at KVIBE

On October 28, our KVIBE crew met with Nina Miyata and Dr. Robyn Hasegawa of Kaiser Permanente to receive a donation of 600+ adult and youth bike helmets through their Keiki Passenger Safety Program. Mahalo nui to the Kaiser Permanente team for their generosity!

O Kalani is a contemporary exhibition of works by Native Hawaiian artists Sean Kekamakupa‘aikapono Ka‘onohiokalani Lee Loy Browne and Imaikalani Kalahele.

Uncle Imai has been the Artist-in-Residence at Ho’oulu ‘Aina for many years. His paintings hang in the lobby of KKV’s Wellness Center and along the walls of the stairwell at the main clinic. Join us in celebrating his work as an artist and poet!

A Nature Classroom, Wood Mill, and Woodworking Studio - Hale Lauele

KKV’s Dental staff was redeployed during the early days of COVID outbreak to assist packing produce for delivery to families. KKV has a wide array of dental services. Learn more here.

Census Outreach Campaign - Youth Inspired Program

Over the past couple months, KKV's youth have been reaching out to their peers, families and communities about completing the Census 2020. They also made posters, distributed flyers and created fun dance videos to help spread the word. The campaign was organized by Shirley Ann Templo, a KKV Tennis alumni!
