The Perinatal, Family Planning, and Nutrition/WIC departments are now named Maternal and Child Health under the supervision of Kay Hansen.

    Nutrition:

  • Nutrition education and counseling

  • High risk nutritional counseling: diabetics, pregnant women, high blood pressure, heart disease, low blood sugar
  • Nutrition for positive thinking
  • Breastfeeding education and support

    Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program:

  • WIC program, supplemental food for women, infants & children up to 5 years old
  • Nutrition education and counseling

 

  • Working with our medical primary care doctors in dealing with health-related problems.
  • Assessments and treatment for health-related problems such as trouble sleeping, weight reduction, lifestyle changes, dealing with such common medical problems as managing medications, dealing with diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, etc.
  • Evaluations and medication dealing with dementia and Alzheimer’s and other issues of aging.
  • Help with problems of addiction such as cigarette smoking, controlling nutrition, drinking too much alcohol, use of drugs
  • Family problems such as children who have trouble in school, problems parenting, divorce, death in the family, or other relationship difficulties.
  • Pregnancy mood problems, post-partum depression.
  • Emotion control issues such as feeling sad, getting mad easily, and nervousness.
  • Medications for managing emotions, attention-deficit disorder, smoking addiction, sleeping problems, etc.
