Reflecting Kokua Kalihi Valley's larger commitment to community-based health in the State of Hawaii, the Program for Professional Education and Training engages students from across the disciplines in hands-on training and community projects, guided by a knowledgeable staff and a unique service population. Each year, we train students of medicine, social work, nursing and public health, for periods ranging from three-year residency training to shorter, summer filed practicums. We also encourage experienced staff to pursue health-related degrees and certificates.
